Tom Stoker and his family and friends have been part of #TeamNeurocare for many years, taking on fundraising challenges and events to support neuro patients and their families across Sheffield.
Tom wanted to fundraise for Neurocare after being diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2011, and receiving surgery and ongoing treatment at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
As part of Brain Tumour Awareness Month 2021, we caught up with Tom to hear his story of being diagnosed with a brain tumour, its impact on his life, and the importance of raising awareness of the need for more research into the life-changing disease.
